MS01
- Garden Room
A
private, outside entrance opens into our Garden
Room. More
“country” in feel than some of our other rooms, with
a lower ceiling, queen-sized cannonball bed, and
one step down to a small bathroom with shower/no tub. The Garden
Room is next to a latticed shed -- where your bicycles or stroller
can keep company with our flower pots and watering cans! A large
bay window has an spacious window seat, large-enough for a single-sized
futon which can be used as a second bed (and which is the favorite
single bed of many guests). Outside, a private sitting
area has two chairs and a side table. Ground level. |

- Sunroom
Perhaps
our single most eccentric room, and one of our best-loved, the
romantic Sunroom enjoys
many windows and a northern exposure, historic reproduction hand-silkscreened
wallpaper and an antique queen bed. The Sunroom
is two steps up from the first floor bedroom hall, with another
two steps down again to its private bathroom. The roomy old-fashioned
bathroom has a generous clawfoot tub for tranquil after-hike soaks,
and shower combination. First floor (plus two steps). |

- East Room
The East
Room has quaint, flower-decorated cottage furniture and a king
bed. Often booked with MS03, when adjacent rooms are needed,
it is also near MS02 if a group wants all three for their own “wing.” The
East Room enjoys a private porch. There
is a shower/no tub in the private bathroom. First Floor. |

- Hydrangea Room
Off
its own private hallway, there are three steps down to the Hydrangea
Room with its private balcony, full
bath, and both a king bed and an additional
single day/night bed. The private balcony is connected,
by a wraparound porch, to that of room MS04 -- and the two rooms
are often booked together. While we often book “The Hydrandea
Room” to one, two or three guests, there is room for an additional
rollaway cot to accommodate four. First floor then three steps
down. |

- Landing Room
Halfway
up the stairs, off on its own off the stair landing, the Landing
Room, our smallest, is a perennial favorite. With windows on
three different sides, it has an airy open feeling -- and enjoys
a porthole view, to the harbor, through the trees. The queen/canopy
bed is against a wall along one side -- which seems to
work fine, as long as only one member of a sleeping couple gets
up in the night, and for singles. The smaller bathroom has a shower/no
tub. Off the stair landing. |

- West Room
Our
popular West Room has
windows on three different sides, a king bed.
There is a small bathroom with shower/no tub, and marble sink in
the bedroom. Facing the village and front garden, the West Room
receives the afternoon light and is one of our more frequently
rebooked accommodations. 2nd Floor. |

MS02 - Front Suite

our front garden of heather, blueberry, cranberry, fern, and border
gardens, the two-bedroom Front
Suite has an eight-sided main room with corner fireplace,
bay window, historic reproduction hand-silkscreened wallpaper,
and a queen/canopy bed. A second inner bedroom has
both a queen bed and a single day/night
bed. Both rooms open off of a small hallway within the
suite, as does the bathroom -- shower/no tub. First floor. |

MS06 - Terrace Suite
The Terrace
Suite opens directly from its own outside entrance. A small
sitting room is set up with table and chairs, antique hanging corner
cabinet, as well as dishes, fridge, microwave (no stove), and sink
-- a perfect place for snacks and easy lunches, crosswords, puzzles,
letters and so forth. French doors connect the sitting room to
the bedroom (king bed and single day/night bed),
with full bath (antique clawfoot tub for after-hike soaking, with
shower combination). First floor. |

bedroom, with French doors opening onto a screened-in
porch. An adjoining sitting room (with sofa that
converts to a comfortable queen bed) has a view
of the harbor through the trees. A curtained alcove off the sitting
room has a double bed. The bathroom has a tub/shower
combination. The most-often booked accommodation in Maison Suisse,
the Master Suite is perfect for that well-deserved get-away and
also works for a very special family accommodation. 2nd Floor. |
